Erekle Gozalishvili is a Fellow of the Hybrid Threats and Resilience Program at the Strategic Security Initiative (SSI). He specializes in EU affairs, democratic resilience, foreign policy and governance in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. Erekle’s current primary research focuses are analysing hybrid threats and resilience issues within the EU and its neighbourhood.

Erekle also serves as a Communications Officer for the REUNIR Horizon Europe project focusing on the EU enlargement. Previously, he was a Robert Schuman Trainee at the European Parliament. Additionally, he also worked within the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and as a Project Assistant at the Aspen Institute Germany, and organized side events for the Munich Security Conference (MSC 2024) and Munich Cyber Security Conference (MCSC 2024). He was also a Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Fellow at the EU Integration Committee, Parliament of Georgia. Erekle also worked within Georgian Institute of Politics (GIP) as a Project Assistant and served as a Junior Research Fellow at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS). He is an ENEMO-certified election trainer and has observed multiple elections in Georgia with International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) and the 2022 Hungarian Parliamentary elections with ENEMO.

Erekle is a DAAD scholar and holds a Master's degree in European Studies from the University of Regensburg and a Bachelor’s from Tbilisi State University. His studies were complemented by Erasmus+ semesters at Aalborg University (Denmark), Ostfold University College (Norway) and Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania).
