Louis Sandro Zarandia is a Fellow at the Strategic Security Initiative (SSI). He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Eurasian Studies at Uppsala University and holds a background in International Relations from the University of Geneva.
His work focuses on political communication, democratic resilience, and the role of gender and antigender narratives in shaping political discourse, particularly in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. His research examines how such narratives influence governance, public opinion, and broader security dynamics.
Alongside his academic work, he serves as a board member of the Georgian Association in Sweden, contributing to initiatives on civic engagement and diaspora cooperation. He has been actively engaged in discussions and public advocacy related to regional security and democratic developments.
He is fluent in French and English, with working knowledge of German, Georgian, and Russian, and basic Swedish.
